Africa Magic Pays Tribute to Olu Jacobs With New Legacy Documentary

The legacy of late Nigerian acting icon Oludotun Baiyewunmi Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs, is being revisited in a special documentary broadcast on Africa Magic.

Doyen of Nollywood: Celebrating Olu Jacobs brings together people who knew and worked with the veteran actor, including Joke Silva, Afolabi Adesanya, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Patience Ozokwor, Kate Henshaw and Jahman Anikulapo.

Jacobs' career stretched across stage, television and film and helped shape several generations of Nigerian performers.

The documentary gives audiences an opportunity to hear personal recollections rather than simply reviewing a list of his films.

The special is being broadcast across Africa Magic channels through September 30.
