International travellers entering Tanzania face a new requirement from today.
The Tanzanian government has confirmed that mandatory inbound travel insurance for foreign visitors entering mainland Tanzania takes effect on October 1, 2026.
Foreign visitors entering mainland Tanzania must obtain the required insurance through the National Insurance Corporation, while visitors entering through Zanzibar are covered under the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation arrangement.
