Bradford Hosts Inspiring Women’s Conference Led by Babes of the Most High Global CIC

Bradford played host to an empowering two-day gathering of women from diverse backgrounds last weekend as Babes of the Most High Global CIC held its 2nd Annual Conference in the heart of the city.

The event brought together women for a day of collaboration, networking, learning, and empowerment, highlighting the power of community-driven initiatives in fostering personal and professional growth.

Day 1, themed “Empowerment and Market Showcase Day,” was officially declared open by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Mohammed Shafiq, who expressed admiration for the organization’s founder, Tomiwa Dada, and her impact within the community.

In his address, the Lord Mayor stated:

“This clearly shows that you are our Ambassador and leader, and it clearly shows you are leading our society well.”

The opening day also featured sessions led by Hannah Bentley of the National Lottery from the Arts Council, who spoke about funding opportunities available to business owners, and Hazel Curtis of the Heritage Fund, who discussed accessible funding streams and community support opportunities.

Day 2 of the conference focused on topics that touched every area of life — from faith, parenting, and purpose to business, marriage, and mental health. A lively panel discussion allowed attendees to share real-life insights and strategies for growth, both personally and professionally.

Speaking after the event, founder Tomiwa Dada said:

“We remain committed to raising the bar and continuing to empower women within the Bradford community and beyond. The goal is to build a strong network of women who thrive in purpose, leadership, and impact.”
