Tope Dada Releases Ubuntu as Official Theme Song for Bradford African Festival of Arts (BAFA) 2025
Bradford, UK – 2025 – Acclaimed music artist, humanitarian, and social advocate Tope Dada has officially written and released “Ubuntu” as the theme song for the Bradford African Festival of Arts (BAFA) 2025.
In addition to creating the festival’s anthem, Tope Dada also served as the Music Director and Performance Director for BAFA 2025, overseeing the artistic vision and musical excellence of the festival’s performances.
The title Ubuntu, derived from an African philosophy meaning “I am because we are”, captures the essence of unity, shared humanity, and collective strength. The song embodies the core values of BAFA, which celebrates African culture through music, dance, art, food, and storytelling.
“Ubuntu is more than just music—it’s a call to harmony, empathy, and togetherness. The song celebrates the richness of African heritage while uniting people from all walks of life. It reminds us that our lives are interconnected, and when we lift one another, we all rise together,” said Tope Dada.
