Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:28).
Worshipping God is not to be taken lightly or presumptuously. The Lord is holy, majestic, and powerful—we worship Him in the manner that He is worthy. There’s a spiritual awareness of God’s presence in those who’ve accepted Jesus Christ as Lord. As a result, we are careful to respond to the Lord in peace during times of worship so that all attention is directed towards Him and not ourselves.
