Nigeria News take a second look at Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose’s censors of the Buhari’s government.
The Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose is no doubt one of the strongest critics of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He does this most times without decorum and with no apology to whose ox is gored. Fayose once attacked ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo for calling him a bastard. It was at a gathering hosted by the former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
Fayose’s impeachment and consequent removal as the Ekiti State Governor in his first term was linked to Obasanjo and since then he would be ready to disrespect the former president.
Fayose is not an ordained cleric but his wife is a leader in the Deeper Christian Life Bible Church. Findings show that the woman is a prayer warrior.
Fayose has endeared himself to the residents of Ekiti with his “stomach infrastructure” policy and has always raised his voice against some policies of the Federal Government.
He has prophesized and it is on record today that some of his predictions had come to pass. At the beginning of every year, Nigerian pastors, bishops and General Overseers usually address news conference to prophesise how the year would be.
When they do, they go further to pray against unwanted occurrences. Some of their prophezies do come to pass but most times, many things happen that they never saw coming, which eventually changed the situation of the country.
While the pastors made great predications, none of them ever spoke about President Muhammadu Buhari falling sick except Fayose.
He said that Buhari would be so ill that he would not be able to perform any of his duties. The governor was criticized by many Nigerians, including the clergy men.
They castigated him but Fayose was firm with his conviction. He went to the extent of releasing six pictures of Buhari on life support machine.
He became so fanatical by his claim until governors and leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC travelled abroad to visit the recuperating president.
Fayose may not be totally wrong with his facts until Buhari arrives Nigeria safe and sound. But it is clear that the governor’s prediction came to pass, even though he is not a prophet. Nigerians owe him an apology.
It will be recalled that Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly once predicted that former President Olusegun Obasanjo would be killed by his vice, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The prediction, however saved the president instead of killing him. Obasanjo became very careful of Abubakar and ensured that he paralysed his political powers.
Perhaps if the cleric had kept mute, the worst could have happened to Obasanjo who eventually lost one of the best in his cabinet, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige to the assassins’ bullets inside his Bodija home.
How not to tell prophesy is what Fayose does not have, the governor got it right on Buhari, no doubt.
It is over 94 days that the president had flown out of Nigeria for medical holidays in United Kingdom, nobody has apologized to Fayose who made the state of Buhari’s health known before now.
Buhari’s absence has drastically affected governance even though he transmitted powers to his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, there is a little the acting president had achieved due to the loitering of cabals at the corridors of power.
